About the simulator
The BMP infantry fighting vehicle crew simulator trains specialists in mechanized and tank troops using examples from BMP-1, BMP-2. Designed to develop theoretical and practical driving skills and describe the duties of the vehicle’s commanding officer and gunner. The simulator consists of replicas of the main controls in the crew members’ workplaces and computer equipment in an automated workplace with special licensed software installed.
The setup includes a commander–gunner simulator and a BMP driver simulator, both of which can work separately or in a single simulation space.
BMP commander, gunner simulator
Designed to develop skills in working with the weapons controls of the BMP-1 and BMP-2 by following the correct sequence of actions as performed by the commander and gunner when operating the replicas of the main control bodies, without reproducing the working processes at the initial stage of gunnery training.
The simulator includes:
- frame of BMP commander’s, gunner’s simulator with seats
- сabinet for computer equipment
- commander’s, gunner’s control panel with electronic control and monitoring unit for the BMP-2 commander’s simulator
- replica of the BMP-2 commander’s TKN-3B device
BMP driver simulator
Designed to develop cadets’ and students’ skills in operating the BMP-1 and BMP-2 controls by studying the sequence and correctness of the driver’s actions when driving, without reproduction of working processes in the initial stages of learning to drive.
The simulator includes:
- frame of BMP driver’s simulator with seats
- steering wheel
- acceleration pedal
- manual fuel feed device
- brake pedal
- engine master clutch pedal (clutch pedal)
- gear switch (lever)
- slow feed gear
Specialized licensed software
Licensed software, an integral part of the complex, comprises a set of specialized programs and electronic libraries designed for modeling and reproducing:
- the operating principles of the units, assemblies, and systems of an infantry fighting vehicle
- physical laws of movement of the BMP on various terrains, including overcoming obstacles
- simulation of close-to-real training and combat conditions
- preparation and control of the training tasks
