Combat Operations Simulator of the Computerized (Electronic) Artillery Training Range ‘KROPYVA’
Про комплекс
The computer (electronic) artillery training range complex "Kropyva" (hereinafter referred to as the Complex or EAP "Kropyva") is designed to implement mathematical models for conducting fire by artillery systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, calculating the impact zone when firing from a single gun (mortar), a fire platoon, or a battery, taking into account terrain relief, weather conditions, and individual corrections according to firing tables.
The complex is designed for the training of the following servicemen: mortar (gun) commander, mortar (artillery) platoon/battery commander, senior battery officer, and Mavic-3 type UAV operator.
With the help of the Complex, users can create interactive tasks involving fire adjustment on stationary targets, utilizing various types of ranging methods (by UAV adjustment, by burst indicators, using a rangefinder, by stopwatch), as well as tasks for firing at moving targets (convoy).
- About software:
Special simulation software for combat situation modeling, "Electronic Artillery Training Ground 'Kropyva'," has been installed on the computer equipment of the Complex.
This software represents a set of specialized programs and electronic libraries designed for the operation, simulation, and reproduction of:
- organization of Integrated Simulation of Training and Combat Environments Closely Approximating Real Conditions.
The Software and Hardware of the Complex as a Whole Enable the Execution of the Following Tasks:
- Real-Time 3D Simulation of the Combat Environment Using Mathematical Modeling Methods
- Physics-Based Modeling Closely Approximating Real Conditions: Projectile and Bullet Ballistics, Effects of Munitions on Equipment and Personnel, Movement of Wheeled and Tracked Vehicles Across Various Terrain Types with Obstacle Consideration, and Aerodynamics of Airborne Objects (Aircraft and Helicopters)
- Recording of Equipment Damage from Various Weapon Types with Calculated Damage Assessment
- Simulation of Behavior of AI-Controlled Entities (Automotive, Armored, and Aviation Assets, as well as Enemy and Friendly Infantry Units)
